Kev is the Extended Services Co-ordinator for the Meden family of Schools, his main duties include day to day running of Shine, development of the Shine @ Adam Eastwood Venue and development of Shine Media

Administrator 

Marcia does all the administration work for the young people and the staff. Marcia also signs the children in safely at our Shine sessions on Wednesday.

Arts and Crafts 

Gemma is in charge of the creative side of shine, encouraging children to express their talent.

Gemma brings a wealth of experience with shine as she has worked with children in the past in private and public sector with over 7 years experience.

Ian covers all the media aspects for Shine, whether its video, web or print related Ian makes it so. Other duties include development of the Adam Eastwood Venue, and generating new business for the media team.

You will find Cole heavily involved working with Ian helping deliver all the Shine Media projects as well as setting up and mentoring at Shine sessions.

Sam works with Matt so any rigging to be done with sound or lighting equipment Sam will be there to help out. Sam also works with Ian, Cole and Matt on the media team. Other duties is to help the development of the Adam Eastwood Venue.

Ready, Steady, Go…
...to a Million Pounds for Warsop Parish
Late in 2010, working with local representatives of your community and service providers, The Big Lottery made an award of at least £1million to Warsop on the basis that it was an area of proven need and had previously been overlooked for receiving lottery money. The project is called the Big Local Trust. more info click here

As part of Warsops Big Lottery, a stakeholder event was held at the Legion on Carr Lane. Local groups and businesses were invited to have have their say on what they think will "Make Warsop a better place". Shine's input into the event was to record some thoughts on camera.

The Adam Eastwood venue is the new venue that Shine runs all its evening and weekend activities from as well as special community events.

Shine at Meden

Shine has over 600 young people registered and 140 attend the after school on Wednesday at Meden School. If your child doesnʼt, click here to see what Shine offers!

Young people from 5 to 19 are invited to get involved and there will be something for everyone. Typical activities include football, laser tag, game zone with wii and xbox, media club, arts and crafts, music, and much more. Shine on Wednesday costs £3 per child or is FREE if you child is eligible for free school meals.

Half term and holiday clubs at Shine cost £5 per child for a full day of activities from 10am until 3pm or is FREE if you child is eligible for free school meals.
