Last night I was invited to attend the Warsop Wives’ meeting at the Parish Centre. It was great to have the opportunity to talk about Shine’s work and the ladies were great hosts.

At the end of the evening the ladies presented a cheque to Shine to support our activities! This money will be used to buy art and crafts supplies as that’s an activity that all ages enjoy.

From everyone who works with Shine and those that attend, I’d like to say a massive thanks to the Warsop Wives.

Hi Shine restarts today. 2 till 6 at Unit 2000 (next to Bingo Hall). 2.30 – 3.30 Splash swimming session at Meden pool-Under 8′s need an adult with them. Sports and Games, including lasertag etc on in the Sports Centre. £1 each NO free spaces. Please spread the word!

So Shine Media’s task for the summer is to create our very own ‘lip dub’ video involving everyone who comes to Shine so we had a little practice to get started. Here’s what we got up to…

Today I was really pleased to accept, on behalf of Shine, a Certifcate of Excellence in Community Safety from Notts Fire and Rescue Service.

It’s for everyone’s help in starting the Eastwood building sessions. They have helped to give our young people somewhere safe and exciting to go.

Thanks to all who help and everyone who comes! I’m so chuffed lol!
